The National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) has officially debunked viral social media claims suggesting that payments are currently being made to beneficiaries of its programmes.
The agency described the reports as entirely false, misleading, and unauthorized.
In a statement released moments ago, and signed by the National Coordinator and CEO, Associate Professor Badamasi Lawal, NSIPA expressed strong disapproval of what it termed a deliberate attempt to misinform the public and undermine the credibility of its interventions.
“The attention of NSIPA has been drawn to a misleading and unauthorized online post alleging that payments are currently being made to beneficiaries. We categorically state that this information is false and should be disregarded in its entirety,” the statement read.
The agency emphasized that it does not disseminate information about disbursements or programme updates via Facebook or other unverified platforms.
Instead, it urged beneficiaries, stakeholders, and the general public to rely solely on NSIPA’s verified communication channels and trusted media sources for authentic updates.
NSIPA also warned against engaging with unofficial sources, noting the risks posed by misinformation to both individual beneficiaries and the broader objectives of the national social investment programmes.
To avoid falling victim to false claims, members of the public were encouraged to stay connected with NSIPA through its verified social media accounts:

The agency reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, and the effective implementation of social investment initiatives aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable Nigerians.
