NMDPRA, S&P Global To Host Inaugural Conference On West African Refined Fuel Market

The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), in collaboration with S&P Global Commodity Insights, is set to host the first-ever West African Refined Fuel Conference, a groundbreaking two-day event scheduled for July 22–23, 2025, at the Congress Hall, Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

This landmark conference is designed to lay the groundwork for establishing a West African reference market for refined fuels, with key emphasis on regional standardisation, pricing frameworks, infrastructure development, and transparent market data.

According to information made available to Environment Africa Magazine, the conference aims to serve as a strategic platform for fostering greater cross-border collaboration in the petroleum downstream sector. Particular focus will be given to enhancing data transparency, developing regulatory frameworks, and promoting stakeholder integration across the region’s energy landscape.
