An information and Communication Technology (ICT) expert on Tuesday urged government at all levels and business owners to embrace capacity building to improve growth and image in their businesses.
Mr Sam Adesoga, the Principal Coach, Valuehut Ltd., gave the advice in an interview in Lagos
Adesoga said it is necessary to develop and strengthen the skills, instincts, abilities, processes and resources that organisations needed to survive and thrive in a fast-changing world of technology.
“It is important to note that technology is a key driver of any country’s economy, it plays a significant role in solving many developmental challenges facing businesses and countries.
“As such, training is also necessary as many innovations have been affected by disruptive technology.
“It means organisations need to engage their employee in training and retraining for sustainability, growth and to make profit, ” he said.
According to him, capacity building and technology would enhance innovation, provide opportunities for organisations and young entrepreneurs to develop skills not only to grow their businesses but to also solve problems and positively impact the society.
Adesoga, advised government and business owners to tap into the potentials of technology and move with new trend in it to address development and humanitarian challenges and also enhance success and improve their businesses.
According to him, Valuehut Ltd has trained many organisations globally on how to maximise the power of team creative imagination using scrum in addition to creating organisation that are best suited for human beings to thrive.
“For us in valuehut, a lot of our work has gone beyond the tech to entire organisations, integrating business and technology as one unit
“We train organisation team leaders using agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban; we take lessons learned from training and apply it to their context,” he said.
He appealed to young entrepreneurs to explore technology and capacity building to be abreast with new innovations as key drivers in their businesses legitimately.
He also appealed to young entrepreneurs to build their business with all sincerity of purpose and not involved in fraudulent activities that can destroy their goals.
He urged government to explore the potentials of technology to improve agriculture, health, industry, environment, other sector and wellbeing of the country at large
