Mercy Abutsa is a graduate of Mass Communication from the University of Jos. As a writer and public speaker, her work focuses on engaging and informing the public on climate and environmental sustainability. This is through advocacy and increased education of actions and human activities that are contributing to the global threats of climate change.
Her goal is to amplify the voices of people on the frontlines of climate change especially in rural areas in Nigeria where policies are not domesticated and the livelihood of rural people continued to be endangered. In addition, Mercy’s current activities focuses on the inclusion of women and people with disabilities in climate change decision making and policies by highlighting their vulnerabilities and the cruciality in their involvement in climate change action.
