NNPC Gas Marketing Ltd (NGML), a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd (NNPC Ltd), in partnership with NIPCO Gas Ltd, has signed a Gas Sale and Purchase Agreement (GSPA) with Ssonic Petroleum Ltd for the supply of natural gas to a planned LNG plant in the Lekki Free Trade Zone, Lagos State.
The agreement, signed by NGML Managing Director, Justin Ezeala, and Ssonic Petroleum CEO, Ifeoma Douglas, marks a significant step in strengthening Nigeria’s Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) sector and accelerating industrial growth.
Under the 20-year contract, the NGML-NIPCO Unincorporated Joint Venture will supply 80 million standard cubic feet per day (mscf) of natural gas to the Ssonic Petroleum LNG plant.
