Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a new ex-depot price of N899.50 per litre for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, effective immediately.
It would be recalled that on November 24th, the refinery lowered the price of PMS to N970. This new reduction, according to a statement by the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, is part of the company’s efforts to alleviate transportation costs for Nigerians during the upcoming holiday season.
To further incentivize consumers, Dangote Refinery is offering a special promotion: for every liter of petrol purchased with cash, customers can buy an additional liter.
In addition to the holiday discount, the spokesperson said for every 1 truck of PMS lifted, marketers will enjoy an extra 1 truck free; while able to purchase such products on credit for 3 weeks, inasmuch as such credit is backed by a guarantee from leading Nigerian banks, specifically Access Bank, FCMB and Zenith Banks at Zero Interest Rate.
Anthony Chiejina, the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, emphasized the refinery’s commitment to providing high-quality, competitively priced fuel. He highlighted the company’s role in ending Nigeria’s reliance on substandard, imported petroleum products, which have posed significant risks to public health and the environment.
