The new National Programme Manager of the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP), Hamza Ibrahim Baba, has hit the ground running, initiating high-level engagements to expand access to empowerment initiatives under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, Mr. Baba paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of State for Education, Dr. Suwaibe Said, at her Abuja office to explore potential collaboration in supporting grassroots women, particularly through the Trader Moni component of GEEP.
In a similar move, he also met with the Director General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), H.E. Silas Agara, to discuss partnership opportunities that would bolster entrepreneurship and provide targeted support for vulnerable groups.
This was disclosed in a media statement by the head of communication and pr of NSIPA, Attari Hope.
According to the statement, the visits signal Mr. Baba’s readiness to align GEEP with national development priorities while empowering the most underserved communities.
Both leaders, Dr Said and Agara, welcomed Mr. Baba’s proactive outreach, lauding his commitment to building synergies that directly benefit Nigerians at the grassroots level. They affirmed their willingness to work closely with GEEP to maximize the programme’s impact nationwide.
