- Commences Continuous Monitoring and Quality Assurance Checks
Residents of Park View Estate, Ikoyi, have praised Lagos Water Corporation (LWC) for its improved and efficient service delivery, following the commencement of an ongoing routine monitoring and quality assurance exercise conducted by the Corporation on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
The visit, led by LWC’s Water Quality Assurance team, involved water sampling, in-situ analysis, and direct feedback from residents. The exercise was part of the Corporation’s ongoing commitment to maintaining high water quality standards across Lagos, particularly in strategic residential areas like Park View Estate.
During the visit, residents expressed satisfaction with the quality and consistency of water supply, describing it as a significant improvement. Many customers confirmed their willingness to pay for the improved service, with several opting for LWC’s electronic payment options.
Structured interviews conducted by the Head of Corporate Affairs and Brand Management, Mrs. Kehinde Fashola, alongside Mr. Anifowoshe Rasaq of the Corporate Affairs Unit and Mr. Adeniyi Okubena of the Water Quality Assurance Department, affirmed these sentiments.
The feedback session also served as a transparent and effective communication channel for the Corporation to assess public reception and address specific community needs. According to residents, while the service has become more reliable, they also requested an increase in both the frequency and duration of the water supply to better meet their daily needs.
The exercise was coordinated in line with the directive of LWC’s Managing Director, Engr. Mukhtaar Tijani, whose administration has been actively working to enhance water service delivery throughout Lagos State. Park View Estate, located within the Ikoyi Axis, is currently being served by the recently rehabilitated Alexander Mini Waterworks, which also supplies water to surrounding communities.
Mr. Tola Fadare, Head of the Water Quality Assurance Department, noted that the resumed water monitoring campaign is part of the Corporation’s broader initiative to promote water safety, sanitation, and hygiene. He emphasized that the goal is to ensure that residents continue to receive clean, safe water at the tap, as part of LWC’s mission to meet the growing water needs of Lagos State’s population.
“Our priority is the continuous delivery of high-standard water service in line with the vision of the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. A vision shared and being implemented by our Managing Director,” Fadare said.
With consistent monitoring, community engagement, and infrastructure upgrades, the Lagos Water Corporation is positioning itself to meet the expectations of its customers while ensuring long-term sustainability of potable water supply across the state.
