The Association of Energy Correspondents of Nigeria (NAEC), the highest body of journalists covering Nigeria’s energy sector, has officially congratulated Engineer Bayo Ojulari on his appointment as the new Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd).
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced Ojulari’s appointment on Wednesday, April 2, along with a newly constituted board for NNPC Ltd, following the immediate dissolution of the previous board.
Reacting to the development, NAEC, in a statement signed by its Chairman, Ugo Amadi, welcomed Ojulari’s appointment, expressing confidence that his extensive experience in the industry would positively impact Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
“As editors and correspondents covering the sector, we look forward to fostering a robust working relationship with you and your team to contribute to the sector’s growth for the overall benefit of Nigeria.
“As you build upon the legacies of your predecessor, we once again extend our heartfelt congratulations on your appointment and wish you success in your new role,” the statement read.
