Top Leaders in Nigeria’s energy sector are set to be celebrated at on April 11, 2025, at the prestigious Oriental Hotel in Lekki, Lagos by ENERGY TIMES.
Among the distinguished honorees are Adebayo Adelabu, Nigeria’s Minister of Power; Mele Kolo Kyari, GCEO of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL); Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji; and Gombe State Governor, Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya.
Adelabu, who will attend alongside the Nigeria Electricity Supply Industry (NESI), will serve as the Special Guest of Honour. Kyari, recognized for transforming NNPCL into a profit-driven organization and revitalizing Nigeria’s refineries, will be named Man of the Year. Meanwhile, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Chairman of Dangote Group, will receive the Life Achiever of the Year award.
Other notable awardees include Engr. Ahmed Farouk, CEO of NMDPR, who will be honored with the Transformational Leadership Award, and Dr. Kola Adesina, Group Managing Director of Sahara Group, who will be named Energy Icon of the Year. Mrs. Mojisola Abdul, Chairman of Mojec International, will receive the Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Additional special guests will include Lagos State’s Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr. Biodun Ogunleye.
The event will also recognize four individuals from the oil and gas sector with Excellence Awards: Engr. Wole Ogunleye (PETAN Chairman), Mr. Olufemi Soneye (NNPC Ltd’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer), Prof. Billy Okoye (Executive Chairman, Raffles Energies Ltd), and Mr. Andy Odeh (former General Manager, External Relations and Sustainable Development, NLNG).
Other major award recipients include MOMAS Electricity Meter Manufacturing Company (MEMMCOL), which will be honored as Most Innovative Company of the Year, and Heirs Energies, which will receive the Outstanding Oil & Gas Company of the Year award.
ENERGY TIMES will also honor five long-standing subscribers at the event, recognizing their support and trust in the publication since its inception.
This award ceremony, the first of its kind, aims to highlight the significant contributions of individuals, organizations, and government agencies in the energy sector, whose work has positively impacted Nigeria’s economy and society.
