The Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE), has announced the hosting of a workshop aimed at enhancing the skills of media professionals in the energy, oil and gas sectors.
The workshop is themed “Trends in Energy Transition and AI-Assisted Oil and Gas Reporting for Oil & Gas Media Professionals.”
Engr. Abiodun Ogunjobi, President of NAPE emphasized that the workshop’s goal is to improve the quality of reporting within the oil and gas industry.
By facilitating in-depth discussions, the workshop aims to identify and address gaps in interviews, messaging, and overall coverage of the sector.
“The oil and gas industry is highly technical, and it is crucial that media professionals report accurately, contextually, and with the necessary detail.” remarked Engr Ogunjobi
Mr. Austin Mgbemere, Publicity Secretary of NAPE, also noted that the association is committed to collaborating with the press and other stakeholders to foster learning, promote best practices, and enhance economic development within the industry.
This workshop marks the sixth edition of NAPE’s initiatives aimed at empowering media professionals covering the oil and gas sector.
