The Honourable Minister of State, Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation, Rt. Hon. Bello Muhammad Goronyo, Esq., has affirmed the ongoing collaboration between the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation and the Federal Ministry of Environment to enhance the welfare of Nigerians and deliver the dividends of democracy.
Goronyo made this declaration during his goodwill message at the 17th Meeting of the National Council on Environment, themed “ENVIRONMENT FINANCING: NEED TO MOBILIZE MORE FINANCIAL INFLOWS FOR GENERATING ADEQUATE RESOURCES IN SUPPORT OF ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY EFFORTS,” held in Abuja on Wednesday, 24th April, 2024.
The Honourable Minister of State highlighted the expansion of collaboration to encompass disaster management, drought, desertification, and the campaign to end open defecation by 2025 in Nigeria.
He underscored the importance of synergy in fulfilling shared responsibilities towards achieving food security for all Nigerians.
Rt. Hon. Goronyo, alongside the Honourable Minister of Environment and other distinguished stakeholders, participated in unveiling the National Clean Cooking Policy document during the Council meeting.
