At the recently held Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Nigerian Institution of Environmental Engineers, Lagos Chapter, Engr Yusuf Majolagbe emerged the new chairman of the chapter.
The Chief Chemical Engineer of the Lagos State Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO), Engineer Yusuf Majolagbe, who is also a certified project management professional (PMP), was until his emergence the vice chairman of the institution.
A highly motivated and ambitious Chemical and Polymer Engineering graduate with an MSc in Oil and Gas from University of Aberdeen, Engr Majolagbe has over 13years experience in the Environment sector, especially in the area of Wastewater Management.
He currently manages multiple projects for the Wastewater Sector across Lagos State being a Project Management Professional, following significant experience garnered at the International Human Resources Development Corporation (IHRDC)/Chevron where he helped the multinational energy organisation significantly increase its total daily oil production in Nigeria.
In his acceptance speech, he thanked all those who have supported and mentored him so far including the General Manager of the Lagos Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO), Engr Adebola Matomi, the immediate past chairman of NIEE Lagos, Engr Mrs Abiola Kosegbe as well as the support of his colleagues at NIEE Lagos.
A new executive committee was also elected alongside Engr Majolagbe to pilot the affairs of the institution.

On behalf of the newly elected executives, Engr Majolagbe pledged to drive more inclusive representation of environmental engineers in impacting on Lagos State.
