More than 50,000 energy professionals, over 1,000 exhibitors and upwards of 1,000 speakers from more than 150 countries are expected to converge on Bangkok, Thailand, for Gastech 2026, as global leaders intensify efforts to strengthen energy security, accelerate infrastructure investments and advance the transition to lower-carbon energy systems.
Scheduled to take place from September 14–17, 2026, the 54th edition of Gastech will be hosted by Thailand’s Ministry of Energy under the theme “Where Global Energy Demand Meets Supply.”
The event is expected to serve as one of the world’s largest gatherings for stakeholders across the natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG), electrification, low-carbon technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) for energy sectors.
Organisers of Gastech 2026, dmg events say this year’s conference comes at a critical time as governments and industry grapple with rising energy demand, geopolitical uncertainty, supply chain disruptions and the need to build more resilient and affordable energy systems.
Held in one of the world’s fastest-growing energy demand regions, Gastech 2026 aims to provide a platform for strategic dialogue, investment and partnerships capable of supporting large-scale energy delivery while strengthening economic resilience across Asia and other global markets.
According to Christopher Hudson, President of dmg events, the conference has been designed to address some of the most pressing challenges confronting the global energy industry.
“The global energy industry is operating in one of the most complex and pressured environments in recent history. Supply disruption, rising demand, affordability and infrastructure resilience have become defining priorities for governments and industry alike,” Hudson said.
He added that Gastech 2026 would bring together the leadership, investment and practical solutions needed to secure energy supplies, accelerate infrastructure development and support resilient energy systems.
Ministers, CEOs to Chart Future Energy Pathways
The Gastech Strategic Conference will bring together ministers, chief executives, investors and senior policymakers to deliberate on issues ranging from energy security and LNG supply expansion to electricity market reforms, integrated power grids and deployment of low-carbon technologies.
Organisers said more than 200 conference sessions featuring over 1,000 speakers will examine practical pathways for implementing energy infrastructure projects, strengthening market resilience and mobilising investments across increasingly interconnected global energy systems.

The event is expected to facilitate commercial partnerships and investment opportunities throughout the global energy value chain.
New AI-Focused Energy Platform
A major highlight of the 2026 edition will be the launch of AixEnergy, a new co-located conference and exhibition dedicated to the intersection of artificial intelligence, electrification and next-generation energy systems.
The initiative is expected to bring together technology companies, energy producers, utilities and investors to examine how rapidly expanding AI infrastructure is driving electricity demand and reshaping future power systems.
Discussions will focus on digital infrastructure, grid resilience and strategies for scaling energy systems capable of supporting future industrial growth.
Thailand Positions Itself as Regional Energy Hub
Hosted by Thailand’s Ministry of Energy, Gastech 2026 is supported by national consortium partners EGAT, Gulf and PTT, alongside Ratch, EGCO and the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), in partnership with the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB).
The event is expected to reinforce Bangkok’s position as a regional hub for discussions on LNG, energy infrastructure, electrification, AI-enabled energy systems, regional cooperation and the low-carbon transition.
Organisers said the conference builds on the success of Gastech Milan 2025, which attracted more than 50,000 participants and facilitated commercial agreements and investment activity valued at over US$60 billion.
With energy demand continuing to rise globally, Gastech 2026 is expected to provide a key platform where governments, investors and industry leaders can forge the partnerships and investment decisions needed to shape the future of the global energy landscape.
