Following media reports on alleged appointment of an administrator for Green Energy International Limited and Lekoil Nigeria Limited, the two companies have issued a joint clarification on the status of the commercial dispute with service provider H-TTP.
According to the companies, the matter relates to a contractual claim currently undergoing dispute resolution through arbitration, in line with the terms agreed by the parties. They emphasized that the dispute is properly before an arbitral tribunal and that the sums referenced in some media reports remain unliquidated, as they are subject to ongoing review and audit under the relevant contractual framework.
The companies further disclosed that prior to the interim court application cited in media coverage, they had already initiated proceedings before the Federal High Court of Nigeria in Suit No. FHC/L/CS/225/26. This included an application for an anti-suit injunction aimed at safeguarding the agreed arbitration process.
Green Energy and Lekoil Nigeria stated that these filings were duly submitted and served on H-TTP before the subsequent court proceedings referenced in reports.
Given that the dispute is currently under active judicial and arbitral consideration, the companies said it would be inappropriate to provide further commentary at this stage.
They also reassured stakeholders that operations remain stable and unaffected. Both firms confirmed they continue to operate their assets safely and in full compliance with applicable regulatory and contractual obligations, noting that there has been no disruption to operations.
The companies added that they will vigorously pursue their rights through the appropriate legal and arbitral channels and have reserved all rights concerning any inaccurate or defamatory statements published in relation to the matter.
Further updates, they said, will be provided as necessary.
