The upcoming C&I Energy & Storage Summit Zambia 2025 will feature a range of international and regional stakeholders tackling some of southern Africa’s most pressing energy challenges.
Among the confirmed participants is Vertiv, a company known for its work in digital infrastructure and energy solutions, which has been announced as a bronze sponsor of the event.
The summit, scheduled for 27–28 August 2025 at The Pamodzi Hotel in Lusaka, is expected to bring together industry leaders, policy makers, innovators, and customers to explore opportunities around energy resilience, storage technologies, and sustainable business practices in Zambia’s commercial and industrial sectors.
According to Gary Chomse, Vertiv’s regional director for Central-Southern Africa, Zambia is at a pivotal moment in shaping its energy future. He noted that investments in energy storage and hybrid power systems could play a key role in supporting economic growth and digital transformation.
At the exhibition, Vertiv will present its range of modular, energy-efficient power and cooling systems. Among the technologies on display will be the Vertiv™ SmartAisle™ edge data centre solution, designed as an integrated system that combines power, cooling, racks, environmental monitoring, and management in a deployable format for businesses seeking flexible infrastructure.
The company will also showcase the Vertiv™ EnergyCore Grid, a battery energy storage system (BESS) intended for sectors such as mining, data centres, and other critical digital applications. The system is designed to provide backup power, enable load shifting and peak shaving, and allow scalability for future energy demands, with the aim of reducing downtime risks and improving energy efficiency for operators.
In addition to its booth, Vertiv will contribute to the summit’s knowledge-sharing programme. Henry Myburgh, Vertiv Africa’s strategic account manager, is scheduled to deliver a presentation on an African BESS deployment on August 27, followed by a masterclass session on August 28.
With Zambia seeking to expand its energy mix and address supply constraints, the summit is positioned as a platform for businesses, government, and solution providers to exchange ideas on how best to drive resilience and innovation in the energy sector.

One thing I want to say is that before buying more laptop memory, have a look at the machine into which it will be installed. Should the machine is running Windows XP, for instance, the particular memory ceiling is 3.25GB. The installation of a lot more than this would merely constitute some sort of waste.
